Storage on Lake Iseo
One of Bellini Nautica’s mottos is «don’t be jealous if we love your boat more than you do». And one of the greatest expressions of attention and meticulous care that Bellini’s staff dedicates to every single boat is certainly the boat storage service.
Bellini dockyard offers its customers as many as three sheds dedicated to boat storage in Iseo and beyond: one directly overlooking the lake, one at a distance of 800 metres and the third at Corte Franca, a few kilometres from Clusane, for a total of 300 berths. For internal transport, only the company-owned truck is used, which instead relies on professional drivers who are highly specialised in moving boats for oversized hulls with a width greater than three metres.
Bellini Nautica can count on three cranes able to lift from 40 to 160 quintals, but to satisfy particular needs it relies on external crane truck rental services that arrive directly on-site.
The customer can choose between different plans for boat storage, from an annual to a monthly service and various seasonal services. Of course, each service is flexible and adaptable to the individual’s requests.
For Bellini Nautica, storage is completely different to just simple parking. The staff gives all the attention that a boat needs, guarding it with reliability and great care. We supervise collection and delivery even from the coast, such as the French Riviera or Sardinia, and take care in planning every detail.
Every boat is washed, covered and delivered in perfect condition, following a particular procedure for winterising as well as de-winterising. In the dockyards, every step is meticulously respected, relying on specially trained and specialised personnel.
Winterising
Winterising begins with the desalination of the engines, which takes place in the water or in the special indoor pool at the dockyard, which is15 metres long by 5 wide and 2.5 metres deep. This prevents corrosion caused by salt if the boat has been used in sea waters. Next, cylinders are refilled with oil for lubrication and the remaining water is drained from the engine’s blocks.
The batteries are removed and kept charged constantly in order to optimise their performance for the following season. On-board, dehumidifiers are installed to avoid the formation of mould or other annoying drawbacks. All the boats are thoroughly washed, particularly the ones with a wooden hull, and with extreme precision a protective coat of Vaseline oil is applied on all the chrome-plated parts.
The boat is then covered and put back, after having performed a complete check-up and having warned the customer of any repairs to be carried out for which a complete estimate is provided, prepared by the specialised internal workshop.
De-Winterising
Before the season starts, the batteries are re-installed and the boat is put back on the water, where after restarting the engines the boat servicing is updated. The boat is then hauled and anti-algae protection is applied after sanding away the old one and applying two coats of new paint, in order to prevent the growth of microorganisms that attack the bottom of the hull, in constant contact with the water.
Harbour services
Recently renovated and extended, Bellini Nautica’s harbour has over 100 berths and is completely buoyant, thereby reducing the impact on the environment and being safer for the moored boats. The structure is protected by breakwaters in reinforced concrete with a polyurethane foam core, very effective in case of thunderstorms, with a draught of 1.90 metres each. This allows the safekeeping of boats even during storms, giving great comfort for whoever is on board.
The dockyard’s harbour also has practical fingers, or small additional jetties located every two berths, which allow easy embarking and disembarking and facilitates mooring. These jetties allow comfortable and unhindered access to guests with disabilities.
Each berth is equipped with drinking water and electricity.
The staff is always available on the harbour to assist in the covering, the binding and the refuelling processes. Every evening, a staff member carries out a complete inspection of the harbour, to verify that all the moorings have been well executed and the fenders properly positioned.

Refuelling service
Inside Bellini Nautica’s harbour, there are two fuel pumps for refuelling boats. An employee, who is always on duty during the day, will take care of supplying the customer’s boat with the right fuel.
One of the pumps is supplied with the classic unleaded petrol while the other one is furnished with special fuel enriched with a particular additive, extremely suited for vintage boat engines because it contains a larger amount of octane.
